We want our audience to be part of each occasion - to dance, to sing, to make requests, to remember a fun event. We therefore tailor our music at each event to make sure there's something for everyone.

The Black Velvet Band's continues to add more songs to our extensive and diverse repertoire. We boast approximately 500 Irish songs and over 180 American tunes on our play list - over 10 hours of music.
You can enjoy all types of Irish music - ballads, rebel songs, pub tunes, traditional and caeli, polkas, waltzes, foxtrots, jives, and set dances. After all, we are Boston's premier Irish Show Band.
The Black Velvet Band offers much more than most Irish bands by delivering a great mix of classic rock and popular hits. Our range runs sixty years, from Frank Sinatra to Fall Out Boy, The Platters to Tom Petty, The Stones to Smashmouth, Elvis to Eagles, even some classic and current Country music.

The Black Velvet Band 's extensive experience performing live at all types
of events allows us to cater to a diverse array of audience types and sizes: outdoor concerts, dinner dances, banquets, weddings, theme nights, house parties, family events, restaurants and pubs.
We've played an Italian and Polish Nights, a Country Dance, opened for major Irish acts, and performed on parade floats. Our annual calendar includes events for churches, schools, fraternal organizations, politicians, municipalities, community groups, politicians, and more.
